 Infrared light. Blaster is just a silly term. If you’ve ever had a TV remote with the red light bulb lookin thing, or like a Wii Remote, that’s where the infrared comes out of, and that’s how the remote communicates with the TV.

Because the IR is just light based, if you have a line of sight to someone’s TV sensor, you can mess with their TV easily.

Fun fact: two candles will work the exact same as a Wii sensor bar.
