Anon's dad was a genius
Anon's dad is highly based and very smort to make learning like this good lmfao
Hats off to this Realistically yeah, kids brains are like a sponge, they can learn almost incredible amount of stuff - because the kids are already learning to live this life, which is actually really complicated.
Like I have a toddler and do you even understand how complicated our hands are!Indeed. Unfortunately mt government does not use this opportunity but instead made it so that school is easier and teaches even less complicated stuff to the younglins. Went from needing 5 credits to 3 credits and I believe they also lowered the margin to get said creditsMy programmer brain read this as "I expected the object oriented programming's dad to be J. R. R. Tolkien." and somehow accepted it point blank.
I mean object oriented programming does often end up being a whole novel so I could see itMy favorite childhood memory was the 2 week camping trip my dad and I took, we visited like 5 or 6 different camp grounds across the state. We would stop at every rest stop along the way and sit and read the Hobbit for an hour. If I could relive any part of my life that trip would be Last year for Christmas I got him some of the 2 pound coins commemorating Tolkien that the royal mint released. I picked him up a Lego rivendell set for Christmas this year, he just got his first principal job and I'm planning on helping him build it with my nephew so he can put it in his officeHa! Awsome cause i am pulling the same tactic with my son who is 5 now.
I have started with common phrases, like good morning, good night, come here, stop, what.
I just told him it was Japanese, showed him clips and songs of other languages told him what the language was called and had him repeat how to say "Hello."
But then I was just honest with him and said, "I am gonna teach you Japanese as best I can, so that if you want to go back and learn spanish or french it will be easier for you."
Progress has been made as he can identify Japanese speech and text. So hopefully by 14 I can sit back and smile
