Look at them… what else are they supposed to do? Bedazzle danger with their contagious smiles? Box with those tiny hands? Pay a hit man 2 gold bars to drown Bobcat Jimmy in an abandoned sewer line and then burn his body to get rid of the evidence, and show up to his funeral with a hat made out of his fur and when his wife asks “Who are you” just smile and teI mean it makes sense really, and most animals do some version of this; either abandoning babies for predators or just eating their babies themselves when stressed. It’s simple, if mom dies than almost guaranteed the babies also die and the lineage ends, but if you sacrifice the babies and mom lives, she has a chance to try again and maybe be safer next time.ll her”Im just someone who will always have Jimmy on my mind”?Local Perth resident here!

They are very cute, but they are unfortunately so happy and friendly they're going extinct, since they don't recognize predators such as dingos, and foxes as dangerous.
So currently, they pretty much all live on this one tiny island off the coast of Fremantle (Rottnest Island). Luckily for us humans, it's very easy to get to the island, in low-tide you can even walk to the island!
idk what im talking about im just rambling on about quokkas
TL;DR I've seen em in person and yes they are very happy lil fellas
