Dads Deserve More Than Grill Tools: Why Father's Day Needs a Makeover

Father's Day often feels trapped in a time warp. Ads bombard us with images of dads grilling burgers while moms sip lemonade. Gift ideas lean heavily towards tools, ties, and "funny" cards about beer and naps. These stereotypes do a disservice to dads and limit how we celebrate fatherhood.

Dads are just as nurturing and involved as moms. They change diapers, sing lullabies, and help with homework. Father's Day should celebrate these diverse roles, not reinforce outdated ideas of masculinity.

Imagine giving Dad a spa day instead of a drill set, or tickets to a concert he'd love. Let's move beyond the grill and acknowledge the emotional labor dads provide. This Father's Day, let's celebrate dads for who they truly are, not who a stereotype says they should be.
