The giant panniers remind me of watching "Amadeus" in high school choir. When that one woman showcases her "Turkish" dress, one guy in my class said, "She looks like a wall!Seamstress: what do you want your outfit to look like?

Seamstress: say no more"Never been a huge fan of the l1790s, particularly the court fashion. It’s a very weird transitional period between big dramatic panniers and rising waistlines, and a lot of ladies just ended up looking like someone made one of those Barbie dress cakes but they stuck the doll into the cake too deep.The court gowns with a high pannier are so strange to me i love them cause they are so over the top, yet i find them to be an absolute travesty for the exact same reason. Love hate...what do you call a type of dress that's the equivalent of frienemies... dressemies??So many of the court dresses make me need a wee just by looking at them. If I were them I'd be panicking about how I'd need to go to the loo for certain within an hour of putting it on. How on earth did they do it. Let alone navigate sorting yourself out when on your period
