Honestly, the vibe I got from them is the other way around, like Clooney and Amal. She's beautiful and smart as hell! She's a Scientist AND a Lawyer. She co-founded the Fordham University School of Law's (her alma mater) first law school program on Cosmetics Regulation, which covers "the governmental, industrial, and societal regulation of cosmetics and other personal care products," according to LinkedIn. And he's been in love with her since high school. Imagine being a theater nerd and marry to your dream girl since day one. PLUS she was there for you waaaaaay before your big break? What I heard from my friend: his wife (girlfriend at the time), was the breadwinner in their relationship for a long time while he was just a dreamer pumping around in NYC theater scene, writing, singing, having odd jobs, crashing on his girlfriend's couch... (my friend was one of the roommates) and my friend and him bonded over how much they loved watching Project Runways together lol. According to my friend: all the roommates LOVE him but also wondering what is SHE doing with him. So to me, dude hits a jackpot and he knows it.Can confirm also the NICEST guy in real life. My friend is his wife's friend and they were at my friend's destination wedding. First day at the hotel pool, he approached our group of friends (all there for the wedding, but we didn't know him) and asked if we'd like to play Uno with him. Yes, dude carried his all deck of very well used Uno cards around. We had the best time, both him and his wife (high school sweethearts!)Manny Jacinto reveals he didn’t know his lines were cut from ‘TOP GUN: MAVERICK’ until after the movie was released.
“It’s flattering that there was a little bit of an outcry, but it wasn’t shocking to me. There was this sense of where the film was going [on set], like I can see them focusing the camera more on these [other] guys and not taking so much time on our scenes. Fortunately, it still was a great experience—you get to see this huge machine at work, see how Tom Cruise works, and you get to be a small part of this huge franchise. It kind of fuels you, because at the end of the day, Tom Cruise is writing stories for Tom Cruise. It’s up to us—Asian Americans, people of color—to be that [for ourselves]. We can’t wait for somebody else to do it. If we want bigger stories out there, we have to make them for ourselves.”It's been such a delight to see women, gays, and fanfic writers snatch The Acolyte away from the haters.
I haven't seen a single episode yet but the thirst on my TikTok FYP is real.
And I'm so happy for Manny, he is always breaking down stereotypes. I remember during the Good Place days, he said in an interview how great it was to be playing essentially an Asian Himbo. And now he's the Kylo-Ren esque hot bad boy. But way hotter.
I do think this shoot is a little uninspired but maybe I'm just saying that because his shirt is on in every photo
